John is a Partner and heads our Retail Banking team.

His expertise includes advising on marketing materials, including compliance with the CAP Code and BCAP Code.

John is our FCA compliance officer and anti-bribery partner.

Business expertise

John advises financial institutions, including the main high street banks and building societies, particularly in mortgage related areas and more generally on product, contract and insurance matters.

John has recently spent time on secondment with one of the UK's leading banking groups.

John supports a number of clients in relation to consumer credit and mortgage regulatory reform.  He is an expert in consumer credit law and advises a range of clients on their regulatory compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and its associated Regulations.  He also advises extensively on the implementation of the Mortgage Credit Directive in the UK, and on other financial services compliance issues.
