Karen is an Associate in our Family Law Team and has been specialising in family law since qualifying in 2006.
She advises clients on a wide range of family law issues including: separation, divorce, child disputes and aliment for children, pre-nuptial/pre-cohabitation agreements, declarators of parentage/non parentage, direct adoption including step-parent adoption and cohabitation claims.
Karen also has experience of acting for Local Authorities in connection with permanence orders and permanence orders with authority to adopt.
She represents clients in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session although much of her time is devoted to resolving matters as amicably as possible.

Karen has been building her experience of child law and Adults With Incapacity matters in the public sector over the past couple of years. Karen has acted for a growing number of local authorities across Scotland.
She has a particular interest in child law and she enjoys advising and acting for Local Authorities in child law matters such as permanence orders and permanence orders with authority to adopt.
Karen will undertake all work necessary in the preparation, running and conduct of Permanence Orders and Permanence Orders with Authority to Adopt cases . Karen has successfully conducted proofs and procedural hearings in such cases in a number of courts across Scotland.
