Louise Barrington

Senior Paralegal

Louise is a senior paralegal within our Private Client team.

Louise has worked within the Later Life team for over 20 years looking after a number of clients on a one-to-one basis providing caring support and advice to them and their families whether the client is living in their own home or within a care home environment.  Louise builds meaningful relationships with her clients and will get to know them so she can ensure their needs are being met.

She provides advice and support in helping people stay in their own home or finding suitable residential accommodation.  If a client is moving into residential care or a nursing home, Louise can assist with any house clearance and help co-ordinate any subsequent sale.

She also supports clients within their own home with appropriate home aids and befriending services available including advising on and providing assistance with claiming any Government Benefits they may be entitled to.

The support Louise provides is often practical and bespoke to the client. She builds working relationships with professionals including medics, Social Workers and care home managers and will make referrals when required.

Louise regularly attends professional training to complement her role including training focused on dementia, bereavement, deaf and hearing loss awareness and equality and diversity. This has enabled her to build on her knowledge and experience and gain a better understanding of issues that often affect her clients, to enable her to support them and their families.
