Flexible working and the 'childcare disparity'

In this week's podcast David Hossack and Caroline Maher look at the case of Dobson v North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust in which the Employment Appeal Tribunal considered whether a Tribunal had erred by failing to recognise that it is an established fact, on which no evidence need be led, that women bear a greater responsibility for childcare than men and are therefore less able to accommodate flexible working patterns.
