Auditing and compliance services
Any business can be audited by the Home Office. This can be an audit to check the Right to Work of staff, an audit of systems to ensure businesses who apply for a Sponsor Licence can fulfil their duties or an audit to make sure a Sponsor Licence is operating properly. Often these audits can take place without warning and if a member of staff is not prepared, they may not understand what is expected of them and this can cause unnecessary stress and panic.
The penalties for making a mistake can be significant for a business. They include:
- Financial penalties for errors in the Right to Work process;
- Loss or suspension of a Sponsor Licence, meaning it is not possible to continue to recruit non EU nationals; and
- The loss of key staff who hold Tier 2 visas.
