Freedom of information
Public sector organisations have a statutory duty to disclose information in response to freedom of information (FoI) requests from members of the public or other organisations. The key relevant legislation, in England & Wales, is the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and, in Scotland, the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
We advise public sector organisations throughout the UK on freedom of information matters, including responding to FoI requests, complaints or other queries from members of the public.
