Freedom of information
Public sector organisations have a statutory duty to disclose information in response to freedom of information (FoI) requests from members of the public or other organisations. The key relevant legislation is the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
We advise public sector organisations who receive such FoI requests and also those making the requests. From our offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London we advise individuals, companies and public sector organisations across the UK, and many of our lawyers are dual-qualified (Scotland/England and Wales).
