At Morton Fraser we have highlighted clarity as our guiding principle.
This directs the way we communicate, the way we advise, the way we conduct relationships with our clients and the way we are totally transparent and upfront about our charges. This applies to all our services from the straightforward to the more complex.
Back in 2010, we set up our dedicated sports law team to offer cost-effective legal services to those involved in sport whether they be clubs and organisations, employees, participants or volunteers. Since then we have significantly grown our practice and today we provide legal services across many different sports.
Being a full service law firm, we are able to provide advice across a wide range of legal issues affecting those involved in sport.
Why choose Morton Fraser
Our team is made up of lawyers from various departments of the firm which allows us to provide our clients with specialists in a particular area of law. We believe this is of real benefit to clients as it allows us to ensure that they receive the best possible advice.
Our approach to fees
We appreciate that clients want certainty over costs at the outset and that is why at Morton Fraser we strive to be clear on the cost of our services. The sports law team follows this philosophy and whenever we can we will give a fixed fee quote for work we have been instructed to undertake. The last thing we want is for a client to be sent a bill which they are not expecting and may not be able to afford.
Being members of sports clubs and organisations ourselves, we understand that budgets can be tight and that this can sometimes dictate whether or not legal advice is sought. We want our services to be as accessible as possible and we are always happy to have an initial meeting free of charge so that we can fully understand your requirements and discuss our proposed fee.
"You get a quick response time; they have a genuine interest in wanting us to succeed and are very supportive."
