At Morton Fraser Lawyers we have highlighted clarity as our guiding principle.
This directs the way we communicate, the way we advise, the way we conduct relationships with our clients and the way we are totally transparent and upfront about our charges. This applies to all our services from the straightforward to the more complex.
On the other hand, you may hold another type of British nationality or you may live outside of the UK but have other family members who have a form of British nationality. This is an ever changing and complex area where it is important that you have a clear understanding of what you might be able to achieve.
We will give you easy to understand advice on your eligibility for nationality before applying and advise you on the documents required to make a successful application. We can assist you with the preparation of your application and submit it to the Home Office. Your application fee will not be reimbursed by the Home Office if your application is unsuccessful so it is important to make sure that you have the best chance of success.
Benefits we bring
We have an experienced immigration team who can advise you on British nationality law. We work closely with our private client team to ensure that holistic advice on the implications of nationality is available. The team is Ranked Tier one in Legal 500 for 2018/19 and top ranked by Chambers and Partners.
We have extensive experience of assisting with appeals against Home Office decisions and also provide support to those applying to become British citizens. Where necessary, we also represent our clients robustly in court.
Our approach to fees
Where possible we offer fixed fee packages for assisting you either with advice or with an application. If it is not possible to provide a fixed fee then we will provide a clear indication of the likely fee based on an agreed scope of work.
I so wish we had found you sooner. The professionalism, competence, fair fees and excellent customer care you give greatly surpasses what we previously experienced with other major legal firms.
Stuart McWilliams is described by a recent client as "a great solicitor" whose "exceptional qualities and endless enthusiasm has made him an invaluable asset."

We received an excellent service through your office with a clear explanation about our applications for indefinite leave to remain. Mr. McWilliams is highly recommended.
Mr. McWilliams and Mrs Bury were very helpful and answered promptly all my enquiries. I would definitely recommend them.
I was recommended to use Morton Fraser in 2016 by my cousin who is a lawyer, I received excellent service then so had no hesitation in using their services again. I have also recommended the firm to a family member who again received an excellent service.
The clarity and quality of advice given was rated as excellent. Morton Fraser's service and response time was excellent and we would recommend them. We were kept informed throughout the visa process including all changes that occurred. I do not think we could have navigated the application process on our own. With guidance we were able to apply and I have recently received my approved visa. Esther and Stuart made us feel secure in our application process.
