Whether it be sourcing corporate funds or private equity, securing investment is a major step in the growth and funding of many companies. Our expert team of corporate finance lawyers, based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, has many years' experience of advising private companies on growth capital, as well as advising investors (individuals, family trusts, private equity funds and angel investment syndicates) on making investments into private companies. We know the early stage investment market, right through to the more mature market for series A investments and beyond.

Benefits we bring to your business

We also advise a number of investor groups and provide clear advice on the key issues for investors and companies to consider, undertake due diligence as swiftly and cost-effectively as possible, and draft robust agreements based on our extensive knowledge and experience in this field. In addition, we have experience of guiding companies through the process and legal implications of raising investment through crowdfunding.

We have a strong network of relationships with investors, early stage companies, angel investment syndicates (including those who are co-investment partners of Scottish Enterprise) and the professionals in Edinburgh and Glasgow who operate within this market. We act for a range of London and Scottish clients who instruct us on UK and worldwide deals.

We bring the benefit of significant experience and an understanding of both the commercial and the legal issues investors and companies face when dealing with a private equity investment. We have a highly rated corporate finance team with an excellent reputation in the marketplace and proven experience in this field. The team is highly ranked by both Chambers and Legal 500.

You can expect us to be accessible, to work closely with the accounting, tax and other professionals involved in the transaction and to guide you through the complexity of the process.
