Debt Recovery Manager

Jo is our Debt Recovery Manager, and acts for a wide range of business clients including major UK lending institutions, PLCs, SMEs and large public sector bodies.

Jo has 16 years' experience of Scottish litigation, and banking and financial services recoveries work for some of the UK's largest banks, debt purchase clients and financial services organisations. Her expertise covers both secured and unsecured borrowing, asset finance, consumer debt, business to business debt and insolvency.

Jo obtained her Scots law degree in 2014 from Edinburgh Napier University and also holds a Specialist Debt Recovery qualification from the University of Strathclyde.

Jo supports the team to get the best result for both our client and the debtor. She acts for a wide range of business clients including major UK lending institutions, plcs, SMEs large public sector bodies.  She advises clients on all aspects of debt recovery, including the pre-legal process, litigation and enforcement and is very pro-active in suggesting strategies and initiatives to ensure the best possible outcomes for her clients. Jo has extensive experience of dealing with debtors and complying with client SLAs, court procedures and FCA requirements. 

Jo enjoys working closely with our clients and managing their portfolios. She understands the importance of maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients and ensures that they have the managed information that they need to make informed decisions

Jo has worked as a 'vulnerable customer' specialist and also as a complaints co-ordinator.

Jo regularly attends MALG meetings and industry events. Jo works closely with Edinburgh Napier University as part of their mentoring programme and has been a guest on their legal expert panel.
