Sue is the head of our Private Client Division and is a specialist in a number of the areas which are relevant for our private clients.
Sue is a lawyer, but also a qualified financial adviser. She works with clients at all stages of their lives, helping them to plan the best future, and also helping them if things go wrong. She can therefore advise clients on legal structures, like Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney, as well as financial structures which can maximise tax advantages.
The work which Sue does is aimed at making sure clients and their families are protected, with their assets being looked after as they wish. She works with clients who are trying to maximise their financial position during their working life, those who are planning to retire, and those who are trying to minimise the impact of inheritance tax. Sue is keen to work with our clients and understand their objectives fully, in order to give the best legal and financial advice.

What our clients and peers say
"...I was introduced to Sue during a particularly unsettling time for our family. She identified with the issues I faced straight away and was able to outline my options clearly and detail how much her expertise would cost. At a time of upheaval, I appreciated that straight talking very much. Her professionalism is outstanding but she is also a really approachable person with a lot of common sense."
"...Morton Fraser offer an exceptional service through attention to detail, clear and concise advice and clarity about fees. Communication between departments is flawless, and you know you have the support of the entire team involved with whatever you are trying to achieve."
"Both my wife & I were very impressed and satisfied by the information, advice and direction offered by the straight talking, and comfortable approach of Sue Hunter. Very pleased indeed that we made the move to get in touch, and just a shame that we did not do so much sooner."
