Our Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency lawyers based in Edinburgh and Glasgow provide advice to clients across a wide variety of business issues arising for clients who wish to reorganise or restructure their corporate affairs. This could be as a result of financial distress or restructuring to optimise group structure, or for tax and corporate efficiencies.

Advice may be required by a single company or group of companies, or may be required by LLPs, partnerships or other corporate entities or by their directors, partners or members.

In addition, we provide corporate and commercial debt restructuring advice to lenders and creditors and all aspects of insolvency and restructuring advice, both contentious and non-contentious, to Insolvency Practitioners and other advisers dealing with restructuring or stressed and distressed businesses.

Benefits we bring to your business

We have a highly experienced cross-departmental team providing corporate restructuring services and insolvency advice. This allows us to provide a full service offering so that we can meet all of our clients' needs within the team.

Our real estate team has UK wide capacity and possesses a wealth of experience in dealing with property issues in corporate insolvency, acting principally for landlords, insolvency practitioners and purchasers. They are supported by our construction team which deals with both contentious and non-contentious work, including claims arising out of insolvency.

Our commercial litigation and employment teams routinely advise on insolvency and restructuring matters, including on TUPE, director's duties, disputed adjudication of claims, challengeable transactions, ledger collections and recovery of directors' loan accounts. In addition, we can call upon expert assistance in relation to any issues which may arise in the course of an assignment including: tax, pensions, environmental and intellectual property matters.
